HOW SOLAR WORKS
1. When sunlight connects with solar panels, the panels absorb the direct current (DC) and transfers it to an inverter.
2. The inverter, or brains of the system, converts the DC electricity to alternating current (AC). AC current is usable power for your home or business.
3. The solar system installed on is connected to the grid. Any electricity that is produced and is not used (over-production) is put back on the grid. Some states allow net-metering. Which means the over-production from a solar system gets credited to your account.
SOLAR INSTALLATION PROCESS

Our Permitting Team will use the measurements and design from the site visit to file for a permit.
Our Project Managers will reach out to schedule an installation at your convenience.
Our Project Managers will schedule an inspection. Upon passing inspection, your system will be turned on.
WHAT CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
"Excellent job. Everything was installed and operating within a month of executing the contract. In comparison to others, GRNE provided an excellent system at the overall lowest net cost to the customer." - S. Thome, Barrington, Illinois
"GRNE did a great job educating me on all things retail solar. They also executed efficiently on the project once we decided to move forward. My project was not as simple as they had to overcome the Ukrainian Village historical district restrictions with the city of Chicago!" - S. Barnett, Chicago, Illinois
